Two-Face

Sometimes the only thing 
standing between light and darkness, 
is a superhero cape of curtain 
or a cloak of villain depending on 
which side you mark as your territory.

You claim as your destiny.

Some people journey through life 
with one foot in heaven and one foot in hell, 
trying to have the best of both worlds; 
hoping to see the guardian angel in their demons.

There are voices that haunt me. 
They whisper in the day and scream at night. 
They tell me to follow in the footsteps that 
leads to broken hearts and forsaken dreams…

My answer is beginning to sound 
more like a lie falling from my lips.
